For 28 years, our Women of the Year Awards has honored game changers, rule breakers, and trailblazers. This year’s class of extraordinary females is no exception.
The stories of our Women of the Year Awards honorees often start with the same idea: a woman who refuses to wait for someone else to make things better. Alone, or with an army behind her, she decides to act. This year’s honorees span a wide range of ages, backgrounds, and professions—a park ranger, a musician, a judge, teens who unflinchingly took on Washington in the face of tragedy. But the one thing they have in common is that they’re all using their platforms to improve the lives of women everywhere.
Hosted by Aidy Bryant at Spring Studios in New York City, Glamour‘s 2018 Women of the Year Awards was our most inspiring yet. In a year that’s often felt marked and marred by darkness—especially for women—these icons represent hope, strength, and resiliency. And they shared that message tonight. Read on, below, for every unforgettable moment.
